I'm not gonna lie, I was very skeptical of this upgrade. I saw various posts on Facebook groups about people doing the upgrade and figured it was all BS. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing, in fact I had already modified my cluster with open source GitHub projects to enable some additional features. I decided to take a chance and do this upgrade as I really liked the idea of Audi's virtual cockpit, but the OEM Integration was downright bad. I've only had this running for a few days, but I'm very happy. Waze and Google maps work just about perfectly in the virtual cockpit on Android Auto. The integration with the factory nav and HUD for upcoming turns works nicely, and the proper album art in the media panel is a nice bonus. This is what the factory implementation should have been all along. Great work by all involved. Happy Customer.
Works exactly as advertised! Easy to install, and brings great features to the older car!
We drive an Audi Q7 in the DR, and there’s no original navigation possible. So this is the best solution to navigate with CarPlay nav in your Virtual cockpit
