Satnav and firmware S3 2017

Easy to follow instructions made the install easy. It took around and hour in total and now my firmware and satnav are up to date. Great customer support throughout the whole process, cannot recommend highly enough.

Installation Instructions clear, althuogh it seems I did not require a Software update for some reason, this was clarified after contact with Customer Services. Installation of Licences was quick, after installing the MAPS SD Card t he system was back to normal. Verified Purchase

There was nothing to like or dislike about the update, apart from the Maps update (yet to be tested on new roads) and life time licenses (again yet to be tested) the MMI remained the same as prior to installation.

Simple update, time will tell.

Is This The Right Software For My Vehicle?:

1.Enter in the RED Engineering menu by holding NAV in the up position  + RADIO in the down position at same time for approx 5 seconds and release.

This product is suitable for vehicles with any of the following software versions only:

Do I need any additional hardware?:

Audi smartphone interface (CarPlay & Android Auto) requires that the car have full USB interface already installed. If you have the Charge only port then Smartphone interface will not work. You need to change the USB ports and install the required wiring. (See diagram below)

 

I dont currently have navigation enabled from factory. What do I need to do?:

Its possible you may need to make some coding changes so the navigation will display on the MMI screen. These  simple changes that can be done with VCDS/OBD11 or similar tools. We supply all the instructions required to achieve this if necessary.

If you car is already equipped with navigation then this is not required.
