Is This The Right Software For My Vehicle?:

1. Enter in the RED Engineering menu by holding NAV in the up position  + RADIO in the down position at same time for approx 5 seconds and release.(Example below)

Do I need any additional hardware?:

Audi smartphone interface (CarPlay & Android Auto) requires that the car have full USB interface already installed. If you have the Charge only port then Smartphone interface will not work. You need to change the USB ports and install the required wiring. (See diagram below)
